Modern Slavery Policy
PURPOSE
Boomitra is committed to ensuring that modern slavery, in all its forms — slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labor, and human trafficking — has no place in our business or supply chains. This policy outlines our zero-tolerance stance and the steps we take to prevent and address the risk of modern slavery. We are committed to upholding human rights and the steps we have undertaken to ensure that slavery and human trafficking do not operate within our business or our supply chain.
SCOPE
This policy applies to:
- All Boomitra employees, contractors, consultants, interns, and probationers across all locations.
- All third parties that act on Boomitra’s behalf, including suppliers, field partners, agents, consultants, and vendors.

- Promoting ethical employment practices throughout our operations and value chains.
- Taking proactive steps to identify and eliminate modern slavery risks in our supply chain and business relationships.
DEFINITIONS
- Modern slavery includes slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labor, and human trafficking as defined by relevant international and national legislation.
- Forced labor is any work or service that people are forced to do against their will under threat of punishment.
- Human trafficking involves the recruitment, transportation, or harboring of people for exploitation.
RISK ASSESSMENT AND DUE DILIGENCE
Boomitra will:
- During onboarding, require all partners to sign: 1) the Partners Ethics Policy and Code of Conduct, 2) the Third Party Harassment Policy, and 3) the Grievance Policy for Boomitra’s Partners and Enrolled Farmers and Landowners.
- Conduct risk assessments in high-risk geographies and sectors.
- Vet new suppliers and partners for labor practices and ethical compliance.
- Insist, in our agreements, that our suppliers comply with local laws. We build long-standing relationships with local suppliers and make clear our expectations of business behavior.
- Strive to ensure that slavery and human trafficking are not taking place within any of our supply chain business partners, and will not tolerate such activities either within the supply chain or within any part of Boomitra’s business.
SUPPLIER AND PARTNER EXPECTATIONS
All third parties working with Boomitra must:
- Ensure employment is freely chosen and workers are not coerced.
