This policy applies to all employees and extends to our business dealings, including suppliers, contractors, and business partners. The policy covers recruitment, training, development, promotions, compensation, and workplace conduct. It also applies to all locations and entities of Boomitra.

LEGAL COMPLIANCE

We will comply with all the laws of the countries and states that we operate in.

United States of America

  • Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964: Prohibits discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.
  • Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA): Prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities and mandates reasonable accommodations.
  • Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA): Prohibits discrimination based on age.
  • Equal Pay Act: Requires that men and women in the same workplace be given equal pay for equal work.

Additionally, we follow all state and local anti-discrimination and equal employment laws and work to actively prevent and address harassment, including sexual harassment, in the workplace.

India

  • The Constitution of India: Ensures equality and prohibits discrimination on grounds of religion, race, caste, sex, or place of birth.
  • The Equal Remuneration Act, 1976: Mandates equal pay for equal work for men and women.
  • The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016: Ensures that individuals with disabilities are provided with equal opportunities, including reasonable workplace accommodations.
  • The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal) Act, 2013: An Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) to handle complaints related to workplace harassment has been constituted.

Argentina

  • The Argentine Constitution: Provides for the right to equality and non-discrimination.
  • Law 20,744 (Employment Contract Law): Prohibits discrimination in hiring, promotion, and remuneration based on gender, race, religion, age, or sexual orientation.
  • Law 25,592 (Anti-Discrimination Law): Establishes protections against discrimination based on religion, race, nationality, ideology, political opinion, gender, and other personal characteristics.
  • Law 26,485: Protects women from violence and discrimination in the workplace.

Mexico

  • The Federal Labor Law: Prohibits discrimination based on ethnic origin, nationality, gender, age, disability, social condition, health condition, religion, sexual preference, immigration status, or marital status.
  • The Constitution of Mexico: Ensures equality and prohibits discrimination.
  • General Law for Equality Between Women and Men: Mandates gender equality in employment, remuneration, and working conditions.
  • Federal Law to Prevent and Eliminate Discrimination (LFPED): Outlaws discrimination in employment.

Kenya

  • The Constitution of Kenya, 2010: Prohibits discrimination based on ethnicity, gender, race, color, disability, religion, conscience, belief, culture, dress, language, or birth.
  • Employment Act of 2007: Mandates equal treatment and prohibits discrimination in hiring, remuneration, training, promotion, and other employment conditions.
  • Persons with Disabilities Act, 2003: Ensures non-discrimination against individuals with disabilities and mandates reasonable accommodations.
